They try to save me from her

they try to grab my hand,
And pull me from this hold.
Try to keep me close,
So I stay out of the cold.

They try to protect me,
from this nightmare.
They tell this monster to get away,
but, she doesn't care.

They hold my hand,
and try to keep me safe by their side.
but, they don't understand
that there's no where I can hide.

They clean my wounds
try to keep the monster away.
But, she'll just come back
another day.

They warn me
over and over again.
They tell me she doesn't wanna help
she'll just cause me pain.

She cuts my wrists,
burns my skin.
She beats me bad,
and breaks me within.

She bruises my back,
rips my flesh.
and when the wounds heal,
she'll just make them fresh.

They try to keep her away.
Try to keep me in good health.
But, they don't understand.
They can't save me from myself.
