'How do you sleep at night?'

How do I sleep at night
being the way I am?
Living my life drinking blood,
lying and living in sin.

I'm a cursed child,
that I know.
Black eyes, sharpen teeth by the light of the moon.
I'll never let that side of me show.

How do I live with myself
knowing I'm a monster?
Knowing I'm just a fucking freak
and won't ever be anything more...

How do I stand it?
Always being alone.
Pushing away family and friends
in some way to atone.

How do I sleep at night
when my hands and teeth are stained with red?
When I've given up trying to commit suicide
because I'm pretty much already dead.

I can't say that I've hurt anyone seriously
but I can't promise that I won't.
How do I sleep at night being what I am?
